No Fireworks For The Fourth Of July

Hiking in the snow was not on my agenda in celebration of Fourth. But who can turn down the opportunity to hang out with family up at Snowbird Ski Resort? Definitely not us. Gordon's parents were staying at Snowbird for the weekend and invited us to come up for a day hike and picnic, but because LeeAnn was feeling a bit under the weather our plans changed, and if you ask any of us I'm pretty sure we would all tell you they changed for the better. Unlimited rides on the Alpine Slide, Zip line, Bull Ride, Bungee Trampoline, Gondola, and Ski Lifts with amazingly beautiful views was much better than the hike would have been and less tiring. Racing my in-laws down the Alpine Slide, going slower than a snail on the Zip line (except for Gordon...he almost died when the brakes decided to give out when he was gliding in to stop), staying strong to not fall off the Bull, skipping the Bungee Trampoline because only kids are playing on, going on a 12 minute gondola ride to the top of mountain only to hike down to a lower lift in the snow, getting on a ski lift for a nice 20 minute ride with good conversation on the way down...I couldn't have planned a better way to celebrate the Fourth. Thanks again Kim and LeeAnn!

What a view...

Just a short trip down the mountain in snow...
